This model is also commonly referred to as the “European” version – no writing on the dial like the “USA” version that has Jaeger LeCoultre written on the dial.? These are SUPER hard to find and have become an EXTREMELY rare collectible Jaeger.
 
The “EUROPEAN” version is more desirable due to the fact that the dial is “cleaner” and only has Jaeger LeCoultre printed at the to of the dial – whereas the USA version only has the word LeCOULTRE on the top portion of the dial (intellectual property issue at the time allowed Euro version to get the full name – don’t ask me why…??) – and the words DEEP SEA ALARM AUTOMATIC written in very awkward spacing on the lower part of the dial – also very collectable, I just prefer the cleanness of the Euro version.
